Middle Devonian Climate

During the Middle Devonian the Equator ran through Arctic Canada.  Coals began to accummulate as land plants flourished in the equatorial rainy belt.   Warm shallow seas, under cloudless skies,  covered much of North America, Siberia and Australia.  MAP LEGEND
